Boolino
Boolino develops reading and literacy resources for primary and secondary schools that engage young readers in unique ways. Our innovative book platform, Fiction Express, connects students with authors, encouraging reading for pleasure through fun co-creation of stories. It has been designed to improve poor reading habits by getting children excited about reading and turning them into eager readers through the power of engagement and gamification.  We publish books in weekly chapters and what happens next is entirely up to the readers; using their votes, they are able to decide where the plot goes next… and the author will bring the most popular choice to life. All chapters are accompanied by teacher resources, activities and online reading comprehension questions. Plus, the students can interact with the authors as they write the story via the book forum. Fiction Express is available in English, used both in English-native schools as well as in English Language Training (ELT).

Unique technology offered:

Fiction Express is a web-based reading platform for schools which allows students to co-create stories alongside with professional authors through weekly votes and an online forum where both parties can interact and discuss the storyline by sharing ideas and feedback.

Robotical
Robotical are a Robotics company based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We make Marty the Robot - a walking, dancing, eyebrow-wiggling, football-playing, fully programmable robot designed to inspire the next generation of roboticists and engineers!
Robotical were founded in 2016 by Dr Alexander (Sandy) Enoch. Whilst completing his Robotics PhD at the University of Edinburgh, he wanted to buy a gift for his niece at Christmas. It was important that the present reflected the type of work he had been doing. Yet everything on the market was either a remote-controlled novelty toy - or else far too expensive. Sandy decided to fill a gap in the market by creating a real robot at an accessible price point.
Marty the Robot is already used by customers in over 50 countries. Robotical work with schools, education companies, distributors and parents to help educate young people who want to venture in to the world of coding and robotics.

Unique technologies offered:
Marty the Robot is a learning platform that allows students to begin coding using Scratch. Drag and drop blocks of code on your device (laptop/tablet/smartphone) and watch as Marty moves! Develop your skills by adding different sensors to the robot. You can even use real programming languages such as Python. Customise Marty with stickers and 3D printed parts. Marty the Robot has a patent-pending walking technology and Robotical have developed classroom materials and lesson plans for teachers under registered marks.
